I’ve been working in the nail industry since 2014, and what started as a passion for creating beautiful nails quickly became a full career in salon work, education and mentoring.

I opened my own salon in 2016, and over the years I’ve worked with thousands of clients, constantly refining my technique and developing the high standards I’m known for today. Precision, structure, longevity and attention to detail have always been at the centre of my work.

In 2019, I took the next step and became an official educator with Indigo Nails. Teaching felt like a natural progression for me, and it eventually led to creating my own independent training academy, where I could teach in a way that truly reflected my own experience, standards and approach.

I’ve always believed that a good educator should never stop learning. Over the years, I’ve completed more than 35 advanced nail courses across a wide range of techniques, and I am also a fully qualified QQI trainer. My professional courses are AIT accredited, giving students training that is not only practical, but structured and recognised.

Today, I’m also proud to work as an Educator for Kohana Professional, while continuing to run The Nail Place as both a training academy and a working salon.

One thing that is very important to me is that I still work with clients regularly. I don’t want to teach theory that sounds good on paper but doesn’t work in real salon life. The techniques I teach are the same techniques I use behind the nail desk, day after day.

For me, education is about much more than simply completing a course. I want my students to understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to build confidence in their own work.

I genuinely love both sides of what I do — working with my clients and teaching other nail technicians. Watching someone improve, gain confidence and start believing in their own ability is still one of my favourite parts of this career. 🤍
